An Inspiring Year of Growth and Connection at LeadWomen’s 2024 Board Mentoring Programme!
We are deeply inspired by the commitment and insights shared by both mentors and mentees across all groups. This programme continues to strengthen the path for women in board leadership, fostering skills, confidence, and supportive networks that truly make a difference.
Highlights from our 2024 cohort:
Focusing on Core Strengths and Unique Value: Our mentors guided mentees to identify their unique strengths and passions, with some honing in on areas like sustainability and digital transformation—both highly valued in today’s board landscape.
Female Mentorship & Shared Understanding: Many mentees found the female mentorship experience invaluable, allowing them to openly discuss shared challenges and goals with a sense of mutual understanding and support.
Building Director Competency and Board Readiness: A core focus this year was on defining each mentee’s unique value proposition, enhancing director-level competencies, and boosting their visibility for board roles.
Embracing Confidence & Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: Through authentic conversations, mentors helped mentees address self-doubt, building confidence to embrace their journey and voice within the boardroom.
Learning from Real-Life Boardroom Scenarios: Mentors shared practical insights and real-world experiences, offering mentees a deeper understanding of boardroom dynamics and the challenges directors face in today’s complex environment.

LeadWomen concluded its 3-month Board Mentoring programme with an inspiring Mentors-Mentees Sharing Session.
The camaraderie among our Mentees has been incredible. They have been learning from one another, supporting different stages of their board journeys. Huge thanks to our dedicated Mentees for their proactive approach – coming prepared with thoughtful questions and proposing pertinent topics related to board preparedness and promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in boardrooms and organisations.
We are deeply grateful for our Mentors’ commitment – they have been sharing their invaluable boardroom wisdom, supporting Mentees in strategising visibility, and offering tips on managing multiple responsibilities.

LeadWomen officially launched its Board Mentoring programme for 2023 in July!
The purpose of this programme is to support and empower new, aspiring and current board directors in their board journey.
Our mentoring sessions aim to foster knowledge sharing and the exchange of valuable experiences. By facilitating productive engagement and understanding in board directorship matters, we hope to strengthen our members’ knowledge and promote their active involvement in board circles.
